Office Assistant

Position Summary

A leading provider of high-quality educational materials and services based in central London is looking for an Office Assistant to support the role of the office manager and provide general assistance in facilities management. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with commitment, experience and initiative, to support and improve the efficiency of our office environment..

Main Duties:

  • Being responsible for regular dispatch and receipt of international courier parcels
  • Being responsible for arranging cab/taxi bookings
  • Ordering of office stationery
  • Processing of invoices
  • Answering, diverting calls and taking messages
  • Arrange travel for staff through travel agents, monitoring against travel policy
  • Franking, sorting and distributing daily post
  • Filing/ photocopying etc
  • Sending and receiving faxes
  • Greeting clients
  • Providing administrative support to the HR/Office Manager

Requirements

The successful candidate will be:

  • Confident in communicating with a wide range of people
  • Able to work autonomously 
  • Pro-active, resourceful and a good team player
  • Adaptable and willing to take on new and different responsibilities as they arise
  • Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers
  • Computer literate with accurate typing skills
  • Office based work experience is essential
  • A friendly and confident telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills
